This dress was made by Brødskive under supervision of Tine Solheim in 2018. It’s inspired by 80s silhouettes, fabrics and colors, and uses an hourglass shape, enhanced by underskirt and shoulderpads, silk taffeta, and the complementary contrasts of navy blue and neon yellow. The costume has several layers which is each a separate look. This look has been shown at many different events, including “A Drop of Love // Elsker 2018”, “Åpningsshowet på Oslo Pride 2018” and “Fredrikstad Pride 2019”, and most recently, exhibited from 5th of September to 3rd of October 2024 at Baba bar Oslo.
It was originally made to compete in Daisy Hafstad’s Eurovision Lipsync Contest 2018, together with the rest of Princessilicious. Matching costumes for each of the members of Princessilicious were made, and a complex choreography with dangerous lifts and hypnotizing formations were rehearsed. The neon in the costumes also reacted to the light design. Unfortunately, all this was not enough, as Tanja McKenzie won the competition with her improvised lipsync to Tooji’s Stay and her dramatic moment with two handlights bought from Clas Ohlson.
