“Welcome to a somewhat different drag experience via Innafor, men uttafor!
This will be a night of de-mystification, wonder and re-creation where a small ensemble of drag artists will meet on stage to define what drag is from them through a collective looking glass.
Innafor, men uttafor can be viewed as an experimental playground where the performers are encouraged and allowed to disassemble what the concept of drag is to them, then reassemble it again in new ways. A place to play with concepts and set notions, actions and words that embrace people and situations, but also the shape of drag as an artform. Everything is placed in a system through a love for all the concrete shapes that define drag.
Vera Brå, Anja Bibby, Brødskive, Veela Voulez Vous and Betty Beige are all performers with experience of scenic arts, and with a passion for bringing their personal and artistic depictions of what drag means to them. By using experience and knowledge acquired through various art forms (not limited to theater, drag and music), the artists on stage will work as a collective group to illustrate what drag means to the individual artist, as well as the group as a whole. Through a collective process they will de-construct, re-structure and transform, and also turn the concept of drag as an artform inside out!
